HOUSE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON MILITARY AND VETERANS AFFAIRS June 26, 1997 2:00 p.m. COMMITTEE CALENDAR STATE AGENCY'S RESPONSES TO THE MILLER'S REACH FIRE TAPE(S) 97-6, SIDE(S) A & B 97-7, SIDE(S) A & B 97-8, SIDE(S) A CALL TO ORDER Representative Masek, Chairman, convened the House Special Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs meeting at 2:00 p.m. PRESENT Committee members present at the call to order were Representatives Masek, Ryan, Nicholia (via teleconference) and Mulder (via teleconference). Other legislators present were Representatives Phillips and Kohring, and Senator Green. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION Representative Masek gave a brief overview of the Miller's Reach wildfire and stated that the committee would ask questions that were gathered from the public. MARK BERTELS, Initial Attack Fire Suppression Foreman, Division of Forestry, Department of Natural Resources, answered the committee's questions on the Miller's Reach wild fire.
